The Everest High Passes and Peaks trek is an excellent opportunity for those interested in peak climbing in the Himalayas. This trip offers an ascent of Island Peak, in addition to two high passes in the Everest region. It spans four valleys, crosses two high passes, and includes three peaks, including Island Peak. This strenuous and picturesque trek is a dream come true for amateur climbers and serious trekkers seeking to experience the thrill of peak climbing beyond trekking. No prior climbing experience is necessary; however, good physical fitness, stamina, and prior trekking experience are highly recommended.

In the spring of 2017, a rare 100% success summit rate was achieved on Island Peak climbing. In 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023, the summit success rate was above 80%. The trek offers an exploration of Bhote Koshi, Gokyo, Khumbu, and Imjatse valleys in the Everest region, making it a remarkable and exceptional adventure experience of a lifetime.

Before departure, we check all gear to ensure a hassle-free adventure. We hike along the Dudh Koshi River to Namchhe Bazaar and proceed to follow the less-trodden Bhote Koshi valley of Thame and Lungden. On the way to the Gokyo Valley, we cross the Rinjo la Pass, which offers breathtaking views. The pristine Gokyo lakes and Mt. Everest with parades of peaks can be seen from the best vantage point on the entire journey. We hike to Gokyo Ri and cross the Chola on our way to EBC and Kalapathar. EBC is the ultimate destination for many trekkers worldwide.

At the base camp of Island Peak, we organize a climbing training program before the summit push. Our expert climbing Sherpa provides training on various aspects of climbing techniques, ensuring that you have the necessary skills to summit the peak safely. The Island peak climb will be rewarded with one of the best panoramic summit views. You will feel so close to Lhotse, Nuptse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam, and Makalu that you can almost touch them, making it a truly magical experience! After celebrating the summit’s thriving experience, we descend to Namche via Pangboche and Thyangboche.

To ensure a hassle-free adventure, we provide all personal and group climbing gear, including La Sportiva climbing boots. We also offer some warm gear like a sleeping bag and a down jacket. While climbing, we stay in tented camping and at a tea house while trekking, thus providing the experience of camping and a tea house in one trip.

Highlights of this trek include popular trekking peak climbing with high passes in Everest, a stunning Himalayan summit thrill experience of a lifetime, and climbing with the most experienced climbing guide (more than 200 times). Travel with the Top 10 adventure companies in Nepal, proper safety backup with Oxygen Cylinders and medical kits, and all full board meals on the trek ( Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner). Our responsible travel policy of 1 Trekker:1 Porter ensures that we minimize our impact on the environment and support the local economy.

The track will take us through a rugged flat path a few hundred meters northeast beyond the base camp before a steep climb of the hillside. Next, we will climb uphill through rocky slopes and enter a steep, narrow gully with complex rock steps, until we emerge on the right side of the ridge. Following the ridge, we will come into the exposed area next to the summit glacier. All members will be roped to traverse the icy glacier and cross several crevasses. Ultimately, we will reach the bottom of the south summit ridge, and then use fixed rope and Jumer (ascender) onwards, climbing a 45-degree ice slope and sharp summit ridge to reach the top.
