Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the remote and pristine valleys of Tibet with the Everest Kangshung Face Trek – Kharta Valley Trekking. This is an exceptional camping trip that leads you across some of the most beautiful and unspoiled valleys in Tibet. You’ll discover stunning landscapes dotted with beautiful lakes, alpine grazing pastures, and flowered meadows, with an excellent camping area and breathtaking views of Makalu, Lhotse, Kangchenjunga, and Everest Kangshung face.

One of the most exciting approaches to Mount Everest is through the Kharta Valley Trekking, which takes you from Kharta into the beautiful Karma Valley to the Everest Kangshung Face. This route is less trekked, making it an unusual and thrilling experience for adventure seekers.

Your journey to the Kangshung Kharta Valley trek begins as you fly from the bustling city of Kathmandu to Tibet, the sacred land of myths and mysteries. You’ll spend a few days acclimatizing and exploring the sights and sounds of the Buddhist Kingdom, which is locked away in the vastness of its mountain. From there, you’ll continue your trip to Everest Kangshung, driving via Gyantse and Shigatse to the start of your Tibet trek at Kharta Valley, a small village on the Arun River close up against the great barrier of the Himalayas.

As you cross the Shao La (4700 m) into the forested Karma Valley, you’ll trek to the base camp at Pethang Ringmo. From a high ridge point above the Pethang camp, you’ll have stunning views of the Kangshung Face of Everest. You’ll trek via different return routes to Kharta Valley, crossing the Langma La (5330m), with the stunning Himalayan profile of Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Everest.

The valleys and ridges below the snowline are richly covered with grass and thick vegetation, offering a feast for the eyes. On completing the Everest Kangshung trek, you’ll drive to Rongbuk Valley for views of the north face of Everest. Finally, you’ll descend from the Tibetan high plateau into the lush subtropical valleys of Nepal to end your incredible Tibet trekking to Kharta Valley and the Kangshung Face of Everest.
