The Bhote Koshi River in Nepal is renowned for providing a thrilling day of challenging whitewater rafting, making it an ideal destination for adventure-seekers worldwide. It is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and steep rafting experiences in the country, if not the world. Participants often describe the experience as breathtaking, with the thrill and excitement of triumphing over the big whitewater rapids being indescribable. This adventure is graded at levels four and five, and it is only a day trip from the capital city of Kathmandu.
As you drive from Kathmandu towards the Tibetan border, you will catch a glimpse of some of the rapids you will encounter, which may cause some apprehension. However, fear not, as you will be surrounded by awe-inspiring, rugged mountain scenery as you practice paddling and safety drills on the initial calmer waters. Your confidence and exhilaration will grow as you plunge swiftly from one fantastic challenge to the next at breakneck speed.
Our rafting gear includes high-quality self-bailing rafts, helmets, plastic paddles, wet suits, life jackets, and comprehensive first aid kits, providing you with maximum safety and comfort during the rafting experience. We recommend bringing shorts and a T-shirt or swimwear for the river, suitable footwear for wearing in the raft, warm clothing, a towel, sunblock, and a camera.
