Embark on a thrilling adventure with the Baruntse Expedition, an opportunity for climbers to summit a 7000-meter peak located in a remote region of Nepal. This expedition offers a unique and rewarding experience, with stunning views of the world’s highest peaks. The Baruntse Peak, standing tall at 7129 meters, is situated just south of the semi-circle of great mountains, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu. The climb to Baruntse Peak will take you through the pristine wilderness environment of the Hinku Valley and the renowned Mera La of Makalu Barun remote valleys of Nepal.

Whilst exciting and challenging, this climbing expedition is considered one of the easier climbs of a 7000+ m peak and boasts a high success rate of scaling the summit and returning safely. The climb to the summit features steep sections of ice at 50 degrees and a prominent ice cliff at about 7000 meters, making the Southeast Ridge of Baruntse a demanding climb that requires respect and great effort to succeed in the final push to the summit.

The itinerary for this Baruntse Expedition has been carefully designed to ensure all expedition members have the proper acclimatization, stamina, and skill to cope with the necessary climbs to the summit push. A special refreshment climbing training course is organized at the base camp, where all expedition members can practice and upgrade their skills to ensure a safe and rewarding climb. Base camp is set up at 5300 meters, where the expedition cooks prepare all the necessary substantial meals. Experienced climbing guides set up higher camps at 6400 and 6800 meters and fixed ropes to make the summit push safe and secure. Medically trained guides are on the team, complete with a comprehensive medical kit, Oxygen cylinder, Portable Altitude Chamber, satellite phone, and walkie-talkie as a safety backup throughout the expedition.

The expedition is all-inclusive, covering costs from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. The best time for this Baruntse climb is during the Spring and Autumn, and the expedition can be customized to the Baruntse Peak as per your requirements in the years 2023 and 2024. Highlights of this expedition include a 7000-meter-safe peak climbing expedition in the Himalayas, a full support expedition to the summit of Barutse Peak, an exceptional summit success rate of 100% on Mt. Everest, and fixed departure group joining dates.
