Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Annapurna Dhaulagiri Trek, also known as the Khopra Ridge Trekking. This two-week hike is undoubtedly Nepal’s finest tea house trek, offering breathtaking scenery, unparalleled isolation, and a rich cultural experience. The trek takes you through traditional villages, lush oak and rhododendron forests, and high alpine pastures, providing a diverse range of Himalayan cultures to explore along the way.
Our accommodations are community-run and managed lodges, ensuring that profits directly benefit local schools and people. The trek also takes you through less-trodden remote trails into the heart of the Annapurna, making it a community-based lodge trekking experience like no other.
On arrival in bustling Kathmandu, we will organize a local group dinner and explore the cultural sites before driving to Pokhara. From there, we take a short drive to Nayapul, the trek’s starting point, before ascending slowly through lush forests to Ghandruk and then Tadapani, a traditional Gurung ethnic group settlement.
The tiny thatched-roofed houses set among the narrow terraced fields next to stunning peaks will leave you in awe. Moving forward, we will go off the beaten trail to Khopra Danda via the high alpine settlement of Bayeli and Dobato. Khopra Ridge offers the most incredible views of the colossal ramparts of Dhaulagiri, plunging into the misty depths of the Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world.
The spectacular lofty peaks of Nilgiri, Annapurna I, and Annapurna South surround the ridge, making it an unforgettable sight. Finally, we will do an exploration day hike to Khayer Lake, an ancient pilgrimage temple beneath the remarkable face of Annapurna Fang. Join us for this incredible journey, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We take an alternative route down to Ghorepani, passing through Swanta. We trek to Pooh Hill’s well-known viewpoint en route to Pokhara. We can explore more with this route.
Thus, this trip up Annapurna Dhaulagiri is an amazing, remote adventure experience in Nepal.
